Your Job
As a Generalist, HR you will manage and coordinate all activities related to personnel administration for GSP (Global Shared Plants) in Guadalajara. You will own core employee lifecycle processes - onboarding and offboarding, absenteeism and turnover management, pre-payroll administration, promotions, and benefits - and serve as the primary link between Human Resources and employees to ensure policy compliance, timely issue resolution, and a consistent employee experience.
Our Team
This role is part of GSP (Global Shared Plants) and reports to the HR Business Partner (HRBP). You will work with the plant HR team to support operational and administrative HR processes, promoting a safe, compliant, and service-oriented workplace in Guadalajara. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
What You Will Do
- Ensure accurate and timely administration of personnel changes (hires, terminations, system updates, cost-center changes, promotions, and schedules) to maintain reliable HR data and processes.
- Improve the employee experience by providing responsive support for vacation requests, badge replacement, voucher card issues, resignation processing, and other employee inquiries.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities to enable smooth integrations and orderly separations while reducing operational and legal risk.
- Maintain rigorous document control and support compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including preparation for audits and reporting.
- Manage employee relations and workplace conflicts proactively, seeking resolutions aligned with legal requirements and company culture.
- Support recognition programs and engagement activities to reinforce culture and retention.
- Coordinate employee services and benefits administration to ensure access and correct provision of services.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, International Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of the ESLABON HR system and the ability to perform personnel system updates.
- Basic knowledge of the Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT).
- Experience in recruitment and selection for operational/plant positions.
- Experience or demonstrated capability managing administrative HR processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, pre-payroll administration, promotions).
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
- Basic English (A2-B1) - desirable.
- Familiarity with IMSS, Infonavit, LFT-related processes, and applicable government agency requirements.
- Knowledge of standards and compliance frameworks related to code of conduct, ethics, environment, and health & safety (for example, RBA, OHSAS 18000, ISO 14001).
- Demonstrated competencies: service-oriented attitude, resilience, leadership, proactivity, and assertive communication.
- Experience managing personnel-system changes, document control for audits, and supporting recognition/engagement events.
- Awareness of ergonomic practices and PPE requirements for plant environments (e.g., safety footwear).
