This position is full-time and HYBRID (2 days in the office) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:
As a Procurement & Carrier Sales Representative working within Redwood Mexico (one of our entities), you will be responsible for developing strategic carrier partnerships, sourcing transportation capacity, negotiating competitive rates, and supporting pricing initiatives to deliver reliable, cost-effective transportation solutions while driving operational efficiency and carrier network growth.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
- Research, identify, and develop new carrier relationships to expand Redwood's transportation network.
- Evaluate carrier capabilities, capacity, safety, service performance, and geographic coverage to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practices across procurement and logistics processes.
- Negotiate carrier rates and contracts to optimize transportation costs while maintaining high service levels.
- Review and approve rates and negotiations for strategic projects and high-impact business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Commercial teams to develop and implement competitive pricing and costing strategies.
- Monitor and manage profit margins to ensure pricing decisions align with organizational financial objectives.
You’ve Got This?
- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or a related field.
- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Availability to travel 10–15% as business needs require.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of transportation operations, including over-the-road (OTR) transportation concepts and operational performance metrics.
- Familiarity with the Mexican transportation industry, including key shippers, carriers, and seasonal market trends.
- Knowledge of transportation pricing methodologies, including cost-per-mile models (with and without fuel), all-inclusive rates, mileage calculation tools, and fuel surcharge mechanisms (e.g., FSC, BTF).
- Understanding of current transportation market conditions in both the United States and Mexico.
- Established network of transportation providers supporting cross-border, domestic Mexico, and U.S. domestic freight operations is highly preferred.
