Work Schedule:
This position is full-time and HYBRID (3 days in the office) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose of Your Work:
As a Carrier Development Representative, you will identify and develop strategic carrier partnerships while supporting competitive pricing strategies. Through carrier sourcing, market analysis, and rate negotiations, you will help secure reliable capacity and cost-effective transportation solutions. Success in this role is measured through weekly KPIs focused on carrier development, pricing competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
How You Make a Difference Everyday:
- Research, identify, and develop new carrier relationships to expand Redwood's transportation network.
- Evaluate carrier capabilities, capacity, safety, service performance, and geographic coverage to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Build and maintain strategic carrier profiles using industry tools and market intelligence.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates and carrier agreements while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Support pricing initiatives by sourcing market-competitive transportation costs for new and existing business opportunities.
- Accurately prepare and provide pricing quotes within established turnaround times.
- Analyze market conditions, carrier capacity, and pricing trends to support strategic pricing decisions.
- Identify power lanes and sourcing opportunities that improve pricing competitiveness and profitability.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Carrier Sales, and Operations teams to secure capacity and deliver competitive solutions for customers.
- Research and analyze RFQ opportunities, helping develop customized pricing strategies.
- Develop knowledge across multiple transportation modes, including FTL, Reefer, Flatbed, LTL, Hazmat, Intermodal, and Cross-Border freight.
- Monitor industry trends, market fluctuations, and carrier performance to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
- Track, analyze, and report weekly KPIs related to carrier development, pricing effectiveness, and procurement performance.

- Minimum 1 year of experience in Carrier Procurement, Carrier Sales, Pricing, Freight Brokerage, or a related logistics environment.
