Job Summary**
As the IT Hardware Asset Lead at FLSmidth A/S, you will be responsible for the comprehensive lifecycle management of all IT hardware assets, ensuring optimal utilization, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across our global operations.
Job Responsibilities**
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust IT hardware asset management (ITAM) strategy and associated policies, processes, and procedures.
- Manage the entire hardware asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, inventory management, maintenance, refresh, and disposal, for a diverse range of IT equipment (e.g., servers, workstations, laptops, mobile devices, network equipment).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date hardware asset inventory records in the designated ITAM system, including details such as location, owner, status, warranty information, and financial data.
- Lead efforts to standardize hardware configurations and procurement processes to achieve economies of scale and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms and conditions with hardware vendors and manage vendor relationships.
- Work closely with IT operations, service desk, and security teams to ensure proper asset deployment, tracking, and incident resolution.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization through asset consolidation, refresh planning, and effective disposal strategies.
- Prepare and present reports on hardware asset utilization, spend, and compliance to senior management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of ITAM tools and practices.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong understanding of IT hardware components, configurations, and lifecycle management best practices.
- Proven experience with ITAM tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Ivanti, Flexera).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, IAITAM Certified Asset Manager) are a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required; Danish language skills are an advantage.
