Position Summary
The Junior Reporting Analyst supports several departments by preparing, maintaining, validating, and distributing recurring operational reports. The position also assists with ad-hoc reporting requests, data entry, data extraction, report testing, and documentation.
This is an entry-level position intended for someone who has strong Microsoft Excel skills, careful attention to detail, and an interest in developing a career in reporting and data analytics. Training will be provided on departmental processes, HubSpot, SAP, Amazon Connect, and internal reporting systems.
The analyst will work under the direction of the department manager and collaborate with operational team members to ensure reports are accurate, complete, understandable, and delivered on schedule.
Essential Functions

Prepare, validate, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Maintain existing Microsoft Excel reports, templates, formulas, data connections, and supporting documentation.
Use Excel functions such as XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, filters, and conditional formatting to organize and analyze data.
Combine, compare, and reconcile information from multiple worksheets, workbooks, and reporting systems.
Review reports for missing information, duplicate records, inconsistent values, formula errors, and other potential data-quality issues.
Follow established report-validation procedures and maintain a consistently high level of accuracy.
Assist with extracting data from HubSpot, SAP, Amazon Connect, internal applications, and other approved reporting systems.
Support ad-hoc reporting and data requests under the direction of the department manager or senior team members.
Document report procedures, business rules, data sources, validation steps, and recurring reporting schedules.
Communicate reporting issues, delays, or unclear requirements to management in a timely manner.
Assist with testing report changes and confirming that updated reports produce the intended results.
Recommend practical improvements to recurring reports after becoming familiar with the reporting process and departmental needs.
Organize and prioritize multiple recurring assignments to meet established deadlines.
Present straightforward findings to department management with guidance when appropriate.
Protect confidential business, customer, and employee information in accordance with company policies.

Work Environment
The work for this position is conducted in an office environment. The noise level in this environment is usually moderate. Travel could be required to receive training, attend meetings and develop relationships with other professionals. Evenings and weekend work may be required based upon the workload.
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, coursework, certification, or practical experience in analytics, business, information systems, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related area is preferred.
One to two years of experience in reporting, analytics, data entry, business operations, administration, or a related position.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including:
XLOOKUP or VLOOKUP
PivotTables
SUMIFS and COUNTIFS
Sorting and filtering
Basic charts
Linking and comparing data across worksheets
Identifying duplicates and missing values
Strong attention to detail and willingness to investigate unexpected results.
Ability to follow documented procedures and perform repeatable validation steps.
Ability to manage recurring assignments and meet established deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Willingness and ability to learn new reporting systems and business processes.
Preferred Education and Experience
Previous experience preparing operational or administrative reports.
Familiarity with HubSpot, SAP, Amazon Connect, Power Query, Power Pivot, Tableau, SQL, or another reporting tool.
Experience working with customer service, contact center, sales, hospitality, reservations operations.
Experience documenting recurring procedures or creating step-by-step instructions.
Exposure to basic data-cleaning, reconciliation, or quality-assurance processes.
