ITX is looking for a Software Engineer (Platform & Cloud Enablement) in LATAM!
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong platform and cloud experience to join our AI Platforms team.
This isn’t a traditional DevOps role—but it’s also not a purely application-focused engineering position. Instead, you’ll be working right in between: building the internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure workflows that enable our AI engineering teams to move faster.
Your main focus will be to improve how teams onboard, access, and use platform resources, especially in the context of AI services. You’ll work primarily in Azure (with some GCP/AWS exposure), helping us scale a reliable and developer-friendly platform.
If you enjoy building systems that other engineers rely on—and care about developer experience, automation, and clean solutions—this role might be a great fit.
Note: This position is exclusively available for candidates based in LATAM. Applicants from other regions will not be considered.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and build self-service workflows that allow internal teams to easily access platform resources
- Develop automation around infrastructure and onboarding using tools like Cortex.io
- Contribute to platform tooling that supports AI-related use cases and services
- Work with Azure infrastructure (AKS, Azure Container Apps, networking, databases, etc.) to ensure scalability and reliability
- Automate deployments and infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub Actions
- Integrate platform workflows with external tools and services (e.g., Snowflake, Astronomer, Kong)
- Improve observability across the platform (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, OpenTelemetry)
- Support CI/CD integrations and overall platform reliability
- Troubleshoot and provide hands-on support when needed
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and mentor teammates when relevant
What we’re looking for
- +5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or related roles
- Strong experience working with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and automation workflows
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container-based architectures
- Experience working in complex, distributed systems
- Comfortable writing code and working at the infrastructure/platform layer
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to work autonomously while staying aligned with the team
- Experience building internal tools, developer platforms, or self-service solutions is a big plus
Nice to have
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms or workflows
- Experience with Cortex.io or similar developer portals
- Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Airflow, or Astronomer
- Experience with API gateways (Kong)
- Multi-cloud experience (GCP/AWS)
ITX’s Compensation Philosophy
Equality in compensation has been our practice since ITX started in 1997.
ITX believes that market-based pay ensures fair and equitable compensation for our worldwide team members and pay that is based on the market, not on who has the best negotiation skills. At ITX, you’ll never discover that someone in the same job with the same experience makes more than you, or that there are pay gaps based on race, gender, disability, or age.
How do our team members experience market-based pay at ITX? We gather market data to benchmark each position in our candidates’ and team members’ locations and use these benchmarks for candidate offers and to perform regular compensation reviews for our team members. You’ll never have to worry about asking for a pay raise again. At least once a year ITX automatically adjusts pay when the benchmark is higher than our team member’s compensation.
In LATAM the pay range for the Software Engineer (Platform & Cloud Enablement) role is $4,200 to $7,900 monthly, depending on experience, specific skills and certifications, and education. Based on your location in LATAM pay ranges could be adjusted according to local market data, which can vary from country to country. This variation percentage could be 16% lower or 14% higher.
