Real Estate Investment Underwriter
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Real Estate Investment Underwriter to evaluate residential real estate investment opportunities. This role is responsible for analyzing property data, determining wholesale values, estimating After Repair Value (ARV), calculating renovation costs, and recommending offer prices that align with company acquisition goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze residential real estate investment opportunities using market data, comparable sales, and property-specific information.
- Determine accurate Wholesale Price, After Repair Value (ARV), and Maximum Allowable Offer (MAO) for each property.
- Evaluate property condition and estimate repair and renovation costs.
- Review comparable sales (comps) and identify market trends affecting property values.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to assess investment risk and profit potential.
- Prepare underwriting reports and investment recommendations for acquisitions teams.
- Communicate findings clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain underwriting standards and ensure consistency across all property evaluations.
- Collaborate with acquisitions, dispositions, and project management teams to support investment decisions.
- Continuously improve valuation accuracy through market research and performance analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in real estate investing, underwriting, acquisitions, wholesaling, or property valuation.
- Strong understanding of:
- After Repair Value (ARV)
- Wholesale real estate investing
- Comparable sales analysis (comps)
- Repair cost estimation
- Real estate market trends
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, CRM platforms, etc.).
- Ability to interpret large amounts of information and make sound investment recommendations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience underwriting single-family, multifamily, or distressed residential properties.
- Background in real estate acquisitions, wholesaling, house flipping, or investment analysis.
- Knowledge of MLS data, Zillow, PropStream, BatchLeads, or similar real estate software.
- Familiarity with construction and renovation cost estimation.
