We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission‑driven organisation where your work directly contributes to expanding access to high‑quality learning. As part of our Marketing team, you will help us pursue potential — supporting learners, educators and institutions with innovative products and meaningful experiences.
About the role
We are looking for a Marketing Manager (Product Owner), to join our team in Mexico City. In this role, you will act as a Product Owner for marketing campaigns, leading the end‑to‑end ownership of campaign strategy, development, and delivery.
Rather than managing a team, you will work cross‑functionally to set priorities, align stakeholders, and ensure campaigns are insight‑driven, effectively executed, and deliver measurable commercial impact.
This is a non‑line management role, focused on ownership and delivery through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
You will work closely with Commercial, Propositions, Data & Channel Excellence, and wider Marketing teams to ensure campaigns are strategically aligned and performance‑focused. You will also play a key role in sales enablement by equipping Commercial teams with the tools, assets, and guidance they need to succeed.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- Owning the roadmap, development, and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns aligned to strategic and revenue priorities
- Using customer and market insight to shape messaging, targeting, and campaign design
- Prioritising and aligning cross‑functional teams (Commercial, Propositions, Data & Channel Excellence) to deliver campaign outcomes
- Supporting and enabling Commercial teams with effective tools, assets, and campaign understanding
- Coordinating and guiding internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure high‑quality, on‑brand, on‑time delivery with clear ROMI
- Supporting local research and testing initiatives to inform continuous improvement
About You
You will bring experience in marketing communications or product marketing, with a proven track record of delivering integrated campaigns that drive measurable commercial value. You are educated to degree level and fluent in English at C1 level.
You are comfortable operating in a Product Owner or individual contributor role, leading through influence rather than direct line management.
To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:
- Strong customer focus and the ability to use insight to guide decision‑making.
- Creativity combined with strong collaboration and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High‑quality copywriting with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to build effective relationships across teams and functions.
- Solid digital literacy, including knowledge of the digital media mix.
If you meet the above minimum requirements, we encourage you to apply. Your application will be even stronger if you can also demonstrate:
- Experience in the English language learning or assessment sector.
- Experience working closely with commercial teams and/or sales enablement
- Experience managing agency relationships and/or local market research
