What you will do:
Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety, cost, and delivery standards.
Develop and document manufacturing processes (work instructions, layouts, operational standards).
To Analyze and improve processes focused on productivity, quality, and waste reduction (Lean Manufacturing).
Implement and monitor continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, ODS, VSM, etc.).
Define and validate standard times, line balancing, and installed capacity.
Support the introduction of new products or engineering changes.
Coordinate testing, validation, and process release activities.
Resolve process problems through root cause analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto).
Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO, Flow Chart, PFMEA, Control Plan).
How you will do it:

Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and suppliers to ensure stable operation.

Provide technical support on the floor to resolve production deviations.
-
Participate in safety and risk analysis in processes (HS&E).
-
Key Indicators (KPIs) Line efficiency (OEE) Scrap / rework Production compliance Cycle time vs standard.

Manufacturing costs Implementation of improvements (savings / productivity).
-
Experience in continuous improvement / Lean Knowledge: Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen PFMEA / Control Plan Flowcharts and process analysis.

Line balancing Quality tools ERP/MES systems (SAP desirable).

Environmental Health & Safety

Initiate an investigation on all accidents and injuries immediately.

Submit suggestions to improve EHS and take action on suggestions submitted by employees

Act as emergency coordinator for meeting locations and shelter areas. Initiate accountability in the event of an emergency. (i.e. what to do in the event of an alarm for fire, chemical spills, tornados, etc.)

Explain or teach direct labor employees who are acting unsafely.

Ensure the completion of all hazardous and non-hazardous waste training.

Ability to recognize deficiencies in chemical labelling.
What we look for:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering with focus in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
-
5+ years' related experience
-
3+ years of experience in harness manufacturing processes.
-
3+ years of experience with cable and wire machines and tools: cut, strip, and terminate, crimp, terminals punching, wire marking, testers.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
-
AutoCAD experience.
-
Must complete Lean Manufacturing training and certification (if not already certified) – company provide
