General Summary:

The Product Development and Test Engineering organization supports design validation, silicon characterization, production test development, and high-volume manufacturing readiness for leading-edge products built on advanced semiconductor process technologies.
The Automotive Product and Test Engineering group is responsible for the various phases in the lifecycle of integrated SOC’s and QAM’s used in IVI, ADAS & Telematics automotive applications. The selected candidate will support the new product introduction (NPI) to production and return material analysis. This includes verification & validation, characterization, qualification, development of high-volume manufacturing solutions, and customer support. The selected candidate will work with global cross functional teams (SW, System and HW Design, Test, Operations and other engineering organizations) to provide engineering test solutions to drive products to commercialization and production manufacturing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Applies academic and/or internship knowledge in supporting ATE HW/SW development, PVT characterization, system correlation, data analytics using AI/ML tools, hands on ATE testing.
- Collaborates with teams (e.g., design, verification, validation, software and systems engineering, architecture development teams, etc.) to implement new requirements and incorporate the latest test solutions in the production program to improve the yield, test time, and quality.
- Evaluates, characterizes, and develops the manufacturing solutions for leading edge products and bring-up product to meet customer expectations and schedules.
- Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, and techniques and brings innovation, automation, and optimization to maximize productivity.
- Assists in the assessment of complex design features to identify potential flaws, compatibility issues, and/or compliance issues.
- Writes detailed technical documentation for Hardware projects.
- Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information. Must be outspoken and self motivated.
- Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 0+ years of experience in product development, ATE test, silicon validation, characterization, bench validation, or high-volume production test for semiconductor products.
- Academic, internship, or hands-on experience operating, validating, or debugging test programs on Automated Test Equipment used for silicon validation, characterization, or production test and AI applications.
- Academic or practical exposure to test hardware, test software, lab debug, schematic review, circuit simulation, or related product engineering activities.
- Experience using programming or scripting languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Assembly, C#, .NET, embedded software, or similar languages.
- Experience using lab measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, time interval analyzers, or similar instruments.
- Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and summarize silicon validation, characterization, or production test data to support engineering decisions.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams and communicate technical information clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Internship, academic project, or entry-level experience with Automated Test Equipment platforms such as Advantest V93000/93K, Teradyne, or similar ATE systems and AI applications.
- Academic or practical exposure to System-on-Chip products in compute, mobile, automotive, IoT, data center, connectivity, or related semiconductor areas.
- Understanding of digital design, VLSI concepts, CPU architecture, semiconductor device physics & process technology, and SoC test methodologies.
- Knowledge of one or more technical areas such as CPU, logic test, ATPG, memory interfaces, SRAM, DRAM, high-speed SerDes, sensor validation, or related test methodologies.
- Understanding of Design for Test techniques and structural test methodologies such as Scan/ATPG, JTAG, and memory BIST.
- Exposure to CMOS analog or mixed-signal circuits such as ADC, DAC, PLL, LDO, LNA, mixers, power amplifiers, or related performance measurements.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP, National Instruments tools, Exensio, Excel, Python data analysis libraries, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with ARM, Arduino, microcontroller architecture, embedded systems, low-level software debug, Android, Windows, Linux, or RTOS environments.
- Exposure to automotive semiconductor products, automotive validation requirements, reliability expectations, or production test support for automotive applications.
Education Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related field.
