Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a QMS Engineer Coordinator.
Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
Primary function
Contributes to developing the Quality strategy, policies, processes, standards and systems for the Company and its supply chain to operate within. May undertake auditing to ensure compliance although this may be carried out by a third party accredited body. Responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS), writing and updating procedures and processes to support the QMS development. Lead and undertake audits across all areas of the business as well as across the supply chain. Provide training and champion the Quality Management System. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.
Essential functions
Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis, hold a certificate as internal auditor in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 at least.
Liaise with Process Improvement Engineers and Learning and Development specialists to implement an effective, documented process that defines product Quality requirements, best practice and training materials to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Education level required
- Engineering (Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronic, Electro mechanic or related)
Years and area of experience required
- 6-10 years of experience as ISO9001/IATF16949 Quality Systems Engineer.
- Strong IATF 16949 & CSRs knowledge along with mechanical, statistical and drawings/requirements background in working with automotive or aerospace products and knowledge of the Quality Management System as well.
Technical knowledge
Core Tools, APQP, SPC, PPAP, PFMEA/CP, IATF 16949/ISO 9001, Statistical/Minitab, Six Sigma, Drawing Interpretation, Strong communication, 8D management, Engineering Changes & Validation management, Finance knowledge, GD&T, IPC requirements, decision taker, Engineering background.
Soft skills
