Main Goal:
Lead Maintenance and Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) deployment, training and mentoring at the plant level. Main job duties center on the creation and implementation of predictive & preventative maintenance programs, site management systems, Lean tool, Six Sigma strategies, and robust problem-solving techniques, which will lead to improvements in factory margins, machine uptime, manufacturing lead time, delivery performance, employee safety and reductions in product/process variation. This position is also responsible for leading the execution and deployment of robust manufacturing processes and continuous improvement/manufacturing efficiency initiatives across the organization. Provides leadership in executing the organization’s annual improvement and strategic plans.
Job Responsibilities and Authority:
1 Proactively implements, promotes, and maintains a Zero Incident Safety Culture, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equiopment maintenance and rule enforcement
2 Works through the leadership team to lead the development and implementation of the site Eaton Continuous Improvement System strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities.
3 Actively participates in setting, communicating and achieving functional goals and objectives and develops and maintains performance metrics as required to monitor and improve performance.
4 Leads site actions for predictive and preventative maintenance, spare parts planning, machine capital projects, and equipment uptime
5 Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
6 Assists in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating RIEs, Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
7 Analyzes organizational metrics and performs managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level.
8 Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across the site
9 Manages plant cost-out activities.
10 Drives complete employee engagement and enhancement of problem-solving knowledge at all levels.
11 Member of the plant leadership team in the advancement of the organization in the Operational Excellence.
12 Build Organizational Capability by hiring and developing MNT and CI competency, participates in annual development plans and provides input on organization capability/succession planning sessions
13 Identifies “Best in Class” manufacturing best practices and assists in their implementation throughout the Group.
