PROCESS ENGINEER
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY:
Create tools for the manufacturing of new products/launches.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Process Engineer
Support process engineers during validations of new materials, processes and/or machines. Generate required documentation.
Develop and update tools required for new products (Templates, fixtures, etc.).
Develop production attachments prior to PPAP.
Fulfill customer proprietary tooling management requirements (Billable tooling, tooling matrix, tool label, etc.).
Receive and identify tooling for new products and/or Engineering changes. Fill out required documentation.
Deliver tooling and controls to Manufacturing Engineering.
Fill out control form for tooling and/or controls delivered to Manufacturing Engineering.
Give design and/or tooling feedback to suppliers.
Work in coordination with other departments for the launching of New Programs.
Work in conjunction with the Quality Department.
Provide continuous improvement projects and analysis of processes and/or work methods to improve productivity.
Provide support as needed to manufacturing engineering in corrective actions arising from customer complaints and/or quality audits.
Develop according to established schedules special projects required by the department.
Maintain 6's in the technical area of Engineering.
Take care and give good use to the work tools provided by the company.
Provide cotinuous improvement projects by analyzing processes and/or work methods to improve productivity.
Any additional tasks requested by the supervisor according to the needs of the company.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
University degree or in progress (Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering).
1 years of experience in automotive area.
Use of computer packages: Word, Excel, power point, AUTOCAD.
Knowledge of blueprint interpretation.
Basic knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
English level 75% minimum.
