POSITION SUMMARY
Supervise the Customer & AQE team to maintain control and answer on time every single customer issue, ensures proper validation and approved product and process at the end of a project launching with complete, lead the customer Quality Team to review and approve quality documentation internally and the customer focusing on the design for manufacturing and assembly developed within the D/PFMEA and control plan to ensure the plant and the customer requirements are met at SOP. Its responsible that the quality of our products comply with legal and government requirements through the BorgWarner Quality System.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management and Support of Customer &Advanced Quality Engineers

Supervise and Monitor action Plans to improve KPIs of customer complaints and Sorting expenses

Assure that the CAQE team is able to maintain control and answer on time every single customer issue and be the main contact with the client in the quality part. To be the VOC (Voice of the customer) focused on the Customer complaints, APQP/program management process, D/PFMEA, control plan and PPAP process.

Ensure that BorgWarner processes, standards and program specific requirements are implemented and followed.

Responsible to Maintain effective communication with the client (internal and external) to ensure that what is communicated is not an impediment to achieving results/objectives for both parties.

Cascade customer specific requirements for the program to the Cross functional team and convert it into deliverables for the plant.

Fast Response champion for:
Internal diffusion on Quality concerns
Manage containments: Customer and BorgWarner etc…
8D´s for every issue reported: Official & No Official

Accountable for 8D’s, keep control updating customer on activities related to complaints.

Prepare information for weekly reviews with customers and management: Pareto, systemic analysis, customer presentations.

Assure that the Customer visits are properly attended .

100% oversight of APQP local 8D’s.

Lead the preparation of the Lessons learned workshop and read across application with the cross functional team.

Accountable for quality KPI with the CFT and start if needed.

Manage RMA process, clean points and sorting costs and clean points at customer locations.

Ensure the program team has available the program information for APQP and NDPD on time.

Have the quality program information available for regular updates for program manager, quality manager and others.

Development of the control plan in different phases of the launch and its correlation with all the related documents.

Approval of the pertinent steps to the function to the changes of engineering in SAP (CR's), with the tasks that are assigned, looking for punctuality in the same ones together with evidence where it is necessary (#SREA, PSW signed by client, etc.). Participate on the engineering processes for assemblies, components and others applicable by make a proper risk analysis where appropriate.

Designate, using the BW and customer tools, the product special characteristics that need to be declared in our specification documents.

Ensure BorgWarner has the scope and means to measure the dimensions declared in our drawings.
