Vertiv is looking for a results-driven Commodity Manager to manage and optimize $50M–$100M in annual Capex & Facilities spend across manufacturing sites in the Americas. This is an individual contributor role focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. The position does not include direct people management responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Manage end-to-end Capex procurement activities , including sourcing strategy execution, RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contracting.
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives, project timelines, and cost targets.
- Utilize spend analytics, market intelligence, and cost modeling to identify savings opportunities and drive procurement efficiencies.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, performance, and supply continuity.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Finance, and other stakeholders to support critical capital projects and business initiatives.
- Track supplier performance, contractual compliance, and category metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide procurement expertise and recommendations to support informed business decisions and long-term category performance.
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, International Business, Supply Chain, Business Administration , or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or supply chain roles.
- Experience managing or supporting multi-million-dollar ($10M+) Capex, facilities, or indirect spend categories .
- Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business results, including cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier optimization, or cash flow improvements .
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, RFx processes, supplier negotiations, contract management, and spend analysis .
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple functions without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial procurement environments .
- Experience supporting capital equipment purchases, facility expansions, or large-scale Capex projects .
- Bilingual English/Spanish .
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment .
- Excellent communication, collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
