The Intercontinental Hub (ICH) is part of Lilly’s International Business Unit (IBU) and represents a cluster of emerging and high-potential geographies including geographies with full-scale affiliate operations, distribution & promotion markets and hybrid partnership structures. These markets have complex environments that require deep technical expertise, agility and ability to work across different environments simultaneously. These markets represent close to 100 million people and are critical for expanding patient access and accelerating revenue growth globally.
Role Summary
The ICH NPP Lead – Cardio-Metabolic Health (CMH) is responsible for developing the ICH pipeline vision and launch readiness strategy for the Cardio-Metabolic Health (CMH) portfolio — including GLP-1s, cardiometabolic brands, and hospital products — across all ICH affiliate markets and geographies. The role eliminates the need for per-country dedicated NPP resources by concentrating pipeline intelligence, business case development, and launch coordination at ICH level, serving all ICH affiliates regardless of market archetype (full-affiliate, D&P, or partnership structures). The position partners closely with Global, IBU, Regulatory, R&D, Medical Affairs, Commercial, PRA, and VEO. The role reports to the AVP, ICH Strategic Capabilities & Transformation and operates under the ICX Office model as a cross-country resource for the full ICH.‑‑

Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Vision & Launch Readiness — CMH

- Lead the CMH launch excellence framework across all ICH affiliates; identify pathway opportunities to accelerate regulatory approval and market access across full-affiliate, D&P, and partnership markets
- Ensure CMH launch readiness until transition to local brand teams in each affiliate; maintain strategic alignment and execution quality across all ICH market types
- Understand and communicate regulatory pathways, pricing and reimbursement requirements, and market differentiation needs specific to CMH products across ICH geographies
Stakeholder Engagement & Pipeline Intelligence
- Actively partner with Global/IBU teams to inform commercial decisions on CMH pipeline planning and product development strategy, representing the full ICH perspective
- Develop Innovation Readiness strategies for the CMH portfolio across ICH, partnering with VEO, Corporate Affairs, PRA, Clinical Development, and Medical Affairs
Leverage primary and secondary data sources across ICH to develop strategic recommendations for CMH products in clinical development
- Participate in ambassador model governance cadence; contribute to quarterly ICH capability reviews; coordinate with ICH Oncology and Neuroscience/Immunology NPP Leads to ensure cross-portfolio alignment
- All ICH affiliates enter CMH launches with structured NPP frameworks and approved business cases, regardless of market archetype
- Accelerated regulatory and market access timelines across ICH CMH markets
- ICH CMH pipeline intelligence consistently informing IBU and Global commercial decisions
- No per-country CMH NPP resource duplication; single cross-country ICH NPP coverage model operating effectively
Leadership Competencies
- Integrity & Courage: Demonstrates sound judgment and scientific/commercial rigor under ambiguity across a diverse multi-market CMH portfolio.
- Systems Thinking: Anticipates downstream commercial and regulatory risks across CMH products in full-affiliate, D&P, and partnership ICH markets.
- Influence & Communication: Translates complex CMH pipeline intelligence into clear, actionable guidance for all ICH affiliate teams and IBU leadership.
