Ensure effectiveness, adequacy, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the automotive manufacturing environment. Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements (CSR), Molex policies, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control requirements while supporting operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business objectives.
Our Team
Responsible for maintaining the effectiveness of the site's Quality Management System and ESD Control Program, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, customer requirements, certification requirements, and corporate policies.
What You Will Do
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and Molex standards.
- Develop, review, update, and control quality procedures, policies, work instructions, and system documentation.
- Coordinate and conduct internal audits, process audits, layered process audits (LPA), and support external certification audits.
- Monitor corrective actions generated from audits, customer complaints, assessments, and quality system findings to ensure timely closure and effectiveness verification.
- Support Management Review activities by preparing quality performance metrics, KPI analysis, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain the document control process, ensuring current revisions are available and obsolete documents are removed from use.
- Coordinate customer-specific requirement reviews and deployment across the organization.
- Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA implementation from a quality system perspective.
- Lead quality system training and awareness programs related to IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
- Support customer, corporate, and third-party audits, ensuring compliance and effective responses to findings.
- Participate in risk management activities, including assessment of process risks and system vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and report on QMS performance indicators, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support PCN, change management, and control implementation of process changes affecting customer requirements.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Actively support 5S, EHS, Quality, and Lean initiatives by following approved procedures and driving continuous improvement activities.
- Fulfill responsibilities and authorities defined within applicable Control Plans and Quality Procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Coordinate the site ESD Control Program in accordance with ANSI/ESD S20.20, customer requirements, and Molex standards.
- Develop, maintain, and update ESD procedures, work instructions, audits, and training materials.
- Monitor ESD compliance through periodic audits, workstation assessments, equipment verification, and effectiveness reviews.
- Coordinate ESD training and certification activities for personnel working in ESD-sensitive areas.
- Support investigations related to ESD events, product failures, customer complaints, and process nonconformances where ESD may be a contributing factor.
- Maintain ESD performance metrics and drive corrective and preventive actions to improve ESD program effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary site contact for customer, corporate, and third-party audits regarding ESD compliance and controls.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Systems within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 certified systems.
- Experience leading internal audits, corrective actions, and management review activities.
- Experience implementing, auditing, or coordinating ESD Control Programs in electronics manufacturing environments.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Certification as Internal Auditor (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or VDA 6.3).
- Quality-related certifications such as CQI, ASQ, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Experience with OEM or Tier-1 automotive customers.
- Experience supporting customer audits and customer-specific requirements.
- ESD Program Manager or ESD Coordinator experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
