We are seeking a QA Architect to lead the end-to-end test strategy for the SmartCall cloud migration program. You will shape coverage, tooling, and automation across backend services, 135 SPA screens, and regulated report definitions through phased delivery and cutover. Responsibilities

Own the full testing strategy across every phase of the SmartCall cloud migration

Define the tooling stack, coverage tiers, and automation architecture within the overall strategy

Establish the Phase 1 characterization test baseline to safeguard existing behavior
-
Coordinate load testing and penetration testing activities during Phases 5-6
-
Drive production cutover sign-off for the institution-by-institution rollout
-
Build the test harness and tacit knowledge base within the first 2 months
-
Ensure the agentic factory delivers screens without weakening regulatory correctness

Author strategy and guidance for unit, integration, API, E2E, performance, and security tiers

Delegate execution to 2 TAEs while retaining strategic ownership and direction

Facilitate UAT sessions with non-technical bank compliance staff

Guide defect triage discussions with senior engineers
Requirements
-
Proven track record with 9+ years of QA engineering experience, defining testing strategy from the ground up on migration or modernization initiatives
-
Solid background in backend integration testing and frontend E2E automation, including regulated or financial services systems with audit trail and data integrity needs
-
Deep understanding of test strategy across unit, integration, API, E2E, performance, and security layers
-
Hands-on experience with xUnit, Testcontainers, and PostgreSQL for integration testing and characterization test approaches
-
Strong skills in REST API test automation, including OpenAPI contract validation, auth-aware scenarios, and tenant boundary coverage
-
Practical expertise with Playwright (TypeScript or C#) or equivalent for E2E automation across auth flows, async polling UIs, and multi-session conflict cases

Working knowledge of pdfplumber, PyMuPDF, or equivalent for PDF/document regression testing of DevExpress report definitions

Demonstrated expertise in multi-tenant data isolation testing, including RLS policy validation and cross-institution leakage scenarios

Proven ability in UAT planning and facilitation with non-technical end users under tight deadlines

Showcase of effective use of AI to facilitate testing, such as test case generation and testing harnesses

English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
Nice to have

Hands-on skills in load and performance testing with k6, JMeter, or Gatling, including filing-period spike scenario design

Knowledge of penetration test scoping and validation of findings, including OWASP Top 10 for APIs and SPAs
-
Familiarity with Pact (or equivalent) contract testing and PostgreSQL query-level assertions with RLS policy inspection
-
Understanding of accessibility testing using axe-core and automated WCAG 2.1 checks

Background in SOC 2 Type II control testing and FFIEC CDR / XBRL domain awareness
