PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Support Engineering in the development, tryout, validation, and Continuous Improvement (CI) of automated equipment/machines and functional test equipment to reach and keep them at their optimal functionality/operation in both, cycle time and quality performance. It is also responsible of assist production technician in troubleshooting for complex failure in equipment/machinery released to production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Support Engineering in the development, tryout, validation, and Continuous Improvement (CI) of automated equipment/machines
B. Support Engineering in the development, tryout, validation, and Continuous Improvement (CI) of test Equipment and Test Fixtures
C. Support Engineering in the development/definition of maintenance plans and procedures of Automated Equipment/Machinery, Test Equipment and Test Fixtures
D. Support Engineering in the training to production technicians in the maintenance procedures for Automated Equipment/Machinery, Test Equipment and Test Fixtures
E. Support production in the development of test circuits/programs in functional testers and vision systems for new SKUs
F. Support production technicians in troubleshooting of automated equipment or machinery and test equipment as required.
G. Support the design of equipment that offers versatility and minimum time for model change.
H. Supports Engineering in the equipment performance assessments and improvement action plans
I. Design and maintain a tracking system on electronic products line to monitor the productivity of line stations
J. Supports all Continuous Improvement programs such as COST OUT and IDEAS among others
K. Responsible of assigned special projects or actions
L. Develop, lead, and promote a culture in the organization that supports the expected results in the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental system (MESH).
M. Maintain waste segregation culture.
N. Separate hazardous waste from the normal trash
O. Place waste according to the assigned containers.
P. Maintain your area clean and free of contaminants.
Q. Not waste of water or electricity.
R. Report any activity that can put in risk my safety and environment.
S. Identify and give adequate disposition to all chemical products, which can contaminate the environment.
T. Act/Report immediately any chemical discharge case.
U. Ensure the rights containers for disposition of hazardous waste (identifying containers and containers to prevent discharge)

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
- Technical career in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Systems
- High technical knowledge in Electronics, Computer Programming and Automation
- Knowledge of PLC Programming
- Knowledge of programming languages and data bases (C+, LabWindows, TestStand, SQL)
- Ability on electrical/software integration (Knowledge on electric/electronic components)
- Domain the use of electrical measurements equipment and Instrumentation
- 3+ years of experience in this position
- Industry 4.0 knowledge
- Medium level of spoken/written English
