Job Description
Manage, organize, and oversee the daily security operations of the property to ensure the safety, well-being, and positive experience of both internal and external guests, employees, visitors, and the property itself.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the Security/Loss Prevention Department to ensure exceptional levels of safety and security throughout the hotel.

Protect guests, employees, visitors, hotel assets, and company property from accidents, injuries, theft, loss, or any unforeseen incidents, while consistently maintaining established security standards and responding effectively to any situation that may arise.

Lead, train, coach, and develop Security team members in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.

Ensure all departmental operations are conducted efficiently while delivering courteous, professional, responsive, and flexible service in accordance with luxury hospitality standards.

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all security procedures and possess the ability to supervise, coach, correct, and perform all assigned duties. Responsibilities may be adjusted periodically based on operational needs, guest expectations, and the hotel's service philosophy.

Assign responsibilities to team members and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.

Ensure strict compliance with established service standards and company policies, working closely with the Human Resources Department.

Prepare flexible work schedules based on occupancy levels and operational demands.

Conduct pre-shift briefings (daily rallies) before each shift, reviewing occupancy forecasts, arrivals, departures, special events, VIP guests, and any special requests or operational priorities.

Maintain a thorough understanding of all hotel services, facilities, and products in order to provide accurate information and recommendations to guests.

Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel's life safety systems, including their location and proper operation, such as:

Fire sprinkler and smoke detection systems.

Firefighting equipment, emergency exits, and first aid equipment.

Fire alarm control panel.
-
Emergency evacuation procedures and public address systems.

Participate in emergency response meetings and external coordination efforts when required (e.g., hurricane preparedness or other local emergency situations).

Maintain working knowledge of bomb threat procedures, fire emergency protocols, and crisis response procedures.

Follow proper manual handling and safe lifting techniques.

Maintain complete knowledge of all internal and local emergency contact numbers and response procedures.
Qualifications

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs and fulfill all assigned responsibilities.

Must consistently demonstrate a positive, professional, and motivating attitude toward guests and team members.

Extensive knowledge and experience in hotel security and loss prevention operations.

Strong commitment to professionalism and delivering luxury hospitality service standards.

Ability to work safely, responsibly, and in an organized manner.

Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
