If you are Line Technician looking for an opportunity to grow your career , Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. In this role, you will support production operations by ensuring tooling, fixtures, presses, and assembly equipment are available, organized, maintained, and operating effectively to support model changeovers and production requirements. You will play a key role in equipment readiness, preventive maintenance activities, continuous improvement efforts, and operational excellence while working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Review Heijunka boards in advance to ensure kits for upcoming model changeovers are prepared and available.
Support model changeovers according to the production schedule and established procedures.
Ensure rack areas, fixture cages, and work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
Validate the functionality of assembly equipment, including fixtures, poka-yoke devices, presses, torque systems, and related tools.
Coordinate and maintain designated storage locations for special tools required for specific models.
Identify, organize, and maintain control of fixtures, presses, templates, tooling, and production support equipment within the area.
Update and maintain logs for fixtures, presses, templates, and related tooling assets.
Control the check-in and check-out process of tooling kits, ensuring all required components are complete and available.
Report damaged or worn fixtures, presses, templates, and tooling requiring replacement to the appropriate Engineering team.
Create work orders for tooling, fixtures, torque equipment, presses, and templates requiring repair or maintenance support.
Perform cleaning, lubrication, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance activities for fixtures, presses, templates, and related equipment.
Support Production Cells by responding to tooling and equipment needs that impact productivity, quality, or safety.
Prepare reports related to scrap, defective parts, and equipment conditions as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using SMED, 5S, and preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies.
Follow Emerson's safety, quality, and operational procedures while promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Technical Degree (Preferred)
- 1 year of experience working in a maquiladora (preferred)
- Technical English (desirable).
- Skills: Preparing work orders
- Interpreting work instructions
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of assembly equipment (fixtures, presses, torque wrenches, etc.)
Basic knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics (preferred).
Preparing reports (scrap and/or defective parts).
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Technical English proficiency.
Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Experience supporting manufacturing changeovers and production line operations.
Knowledge of SMED methodologies and 5S workplace organization practices.
Experience troubleshooting fixtures, presses, torque systems, and production tooling.
Experience with tooling inventory control and equipment tracking systems.
Understanding of poka-yoke concepts and error-proofing devices.
Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or assembly environment.
Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
