General Overview
The Global Services and Delivery team will influence the "Employee Experience" by ensuring that every interaction with employees across all global locations is consistent and authentic.
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for handling pre-payroll incidents for all legal entities in Mexico, supporting MYBRP facilitators, assisting auditors, and providing support during month-end and year-end processes, reporting, and payment requests.
Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in an administrative or financial field
At least three years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge, Skills, and Certifications
Knowledge of regulations and laws (Tax Law, Federal Labor Law, INFONAVIT, IMSS, Local Taxes)
Strong accounting principles related to payroll processing
Ability to research, analyze, and retrieve data to maintain complex payroll records
Ability to handle confidential information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Organized with a process-oriented mindset
Knowledge of HR systems and processes
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to present information effectively and respond to client inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Payroll Coordinator, the role includes:
Executing payroll processes, including preparation, processing, reporting, and payment application according to payroll cycles
Handling RIF processing and severance calculations
Auditing payroll reports to identify and correct errors
Supporting finance team members and auditors (internal and external)
Managing SUA processes (IMSS and INFONAVIT), FONACOT, and local tax obligations
Investigating discrepancies and processing appropriate corrections
Performing retroactive salary calculations as assigned
Requesting payments such as local contributions, Social Security, grocery vouchers, FONACOT, and alimony
Additionally, the role involves:
Preparing schedules, adjustment journals, and notes for payroll-related liabilities for year-end reporting
Analyzing, developing, testing, and implementing payroll system changes to meet legal and reporting requirements
Supporting HR facilitators in resolving payroll-related cases
Driving process improvements
Performing additional tasks assigned by the supervisor
The position also requires:
Participation in the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
Compliance with safety regulations applicable to the role
Timely completion of required training
Identification and reporting of quality or compliance issues, and support for corrective actions
