Role Overview
The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading and implementing the global maintenance strategy, ensuring all equipment is kept in exceptional operating condition through preventive and predictive maintenance. This role oversees both main equipment (cranes, SPMTs, trucks, trailers) and support equipment (slings, shackles, mats, etc.).
Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations (SHEQ standards & local regulations)
Manage fleet maintenance, inspections, and certifications
Drive preventive & predictive maintenance strategies
Monitor costs, budgets, and operational performance (KPI’s)
Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team
Oversee equipment availability, quality, and reliability
Control maintenance planning, reporting, and ERP data
Collaborate with management to achieve business and financial targets
Optimize supplier relationships and procurement processes
Business Impact
Deliver strong results in revenue, asset efficiency, and cost control
Ensure equipment readiness to support operations
Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean culture
✅ Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field (a Master’s degree or specialization in fleet maintenance is strongly preferred)
Solid knowledge and proven experience in fleet management, with strong leadership experience
Proven ability to translate business needs into practical solutions and execute them effectively
Strong leadership and team development skills
Knowledge of SHEQ, compliance, and maintenance systems
Proficiency in budgeting, KPI management, and ERP tools
Proactive, results-driven mindset
This role is site-based and requires daily on-site presence at our Mexico facilities
Full professional fluency in English and Spanish is required
