We are looking for a seasoned Java Solution Architect with substantial expertise in AWS and Generative AI to spearhead the modernization and architectural overhaul of our existing platform. In this role, you will immerse yourself in the codebase, critically assess the current architecture, and propose forward-thinking solutions that enhance scalability, performance, and integration capabilities.
Responsibilities

Drive the platform-wide Java upgrade initiative to version 21

Decouple memory management currently tied to static servers by integrating Redis to enable autoscaling

Architect and implement a dynamic load balancer capable of handling fluctuating workloads

Overhaul and modernize legacy reports developed on Pentaho

Re-engineer integrations with third-party products such as OTP and Workday

Delve into the existing codebase to gain a thorough understanding of architectural and design patterns, and put forward new solution designs

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural consistency and adherence to industry best practices

Harness Generative AI capabilities to boost system functionality and developer productivity

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the modernization journey
Requirements
-
10+ years of hands-on experience in software development and solution architecture

In-depth expertise in Java, including familiarity with the latest versions and proven upgrade strategies (Java 21)

Solid command of AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectural patterns

Demonstrated background in Redis and autoscaling implementations

Proven ability to design and deploy dynamic load balancing solutions

Working knowledge of Generative AI technologies and their practical application within enterprise environments

Familiarity with Pentaho and contemporary approaches to report modernization

Sound understanding of integration patterns involving third-party platforms such as OTP and Workday

Ability to navigate complex codebases, analyze underlying architecture and design patterns, and devise innovative solution designs

A strong blend of hands-on technical expertise and broader architectural vision

Fluency in English, with a minimum B2+/C1 level for effective communication
