The Supply Chain Management & Logistics Manager — oversees strategic planning and execution of the end-to-end supply chain for a custom, engineer-to-order HVAC equipment portfolio, from demand planning and inventory management through inbound/outbound logistics and distribution. This role optimizes resource utilization, ensures on-time delivery to customers and projects, and leads a team responsible for planning and logistics execution.
The position requires strong analytical and planning skills, hands-on logistics and distribution experience, and the leadership skills to plan, prioritize, and direct the work of a supply chain team. The manager makes independent decisions on resource allocation, operational approach, and tactical execution with a moderate to large impact on cost and service levels, and partners with sourcing, manufacturing, project management, and freight/logistics providers to keep custom-engineered orders moving on schedule.
What will you do?
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align material flow, capacity, and delivery commitments with business objectives for a custom, project-driven HVAC portfolio.

Define the means, resources, and processes needed to ensure efficient, cost-effective flow of materials from suppliers through production to the customer.

Analyze market trends and internal data to forecast demand and translate it into production and procurement plans.

Monitor and report on key supply chain KPIs (on-time delivery, inventory turns, freight cost, service level) and adjust strategy as needed.
Demand Planning & Inventory Management

Own demand forecasting and sales, inventory & operations planning (SIOP) inputs for HVAC components (eg. coils, compressors, fan motors, controls, sheet metal, copper piping, refrigerant, electrical & electronic materials) and finished goods (eg. Chiller, Mega Crah).

Manage inventory levels and safety stock strategy to balance working capital against ETO delivery commitments and long-lead materials.

Coordinate master scheduling and capacity planning with manufacturing to protect critical project milestones.

Identify and resolve material shortages, allocation conflicts, and schedule risk before they impact customer delivery.
Logistics & Distribution

Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including freight mode selection, carrier management, and freight cost optimization for oversized/custom HVAC equipment.

Oversee warehousing, staging, and outbound shipment planning to support on-time, damage-free delivery to job sites and customers.

Negotiate and manage relationships with freight carriers, 3PLs, and customs brokers, including import/export and cross-border compliance.

Drive continuous improvement in packaging, handling, and transportation to reduce damage, cost, and lead time.
Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for supply chain planning and logistics execution, including setting priorities and conducting performance reviews.

Set work direction for the team, ensuring alignment with internal policies, budgets, and business objectives.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, reduce cost, and improve service levels.

Exercise independent judgment on moderately complex, non-routine issues, applying multi-faceted analysis and creative problem-solving.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with procurement/sourcing to align supplier lead times and capacity with the production and delivery plan.

Coordinate with project management and sales to communicate delivery commitments, risks, and mitigation plans on active orders.

Work with manufacturing and quality to resolve schedule and material issues affecting on-time delivery.

Requirements

Able to work onsite in Ramos Arizpe Coahuila
-
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field. APICS/CPIM, CSCP certification or MBA is a plus.

Advanced English Level
-
10+ years of supply chain, planning, or logistics experience, including experience in an engineer-to-order or make-to-order manufacturing environment; prior people-management experience preferred.

Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and components, and the material flow needed to support custom, project-driven production.
-
Demonstrated experience in demand planning, S&OP, inventory management, and master scheduling.
-
Hands-on experience managing freight, carriers, 3PLs, and distribution for large or oversized equipment, including import/export and cross-border logistics.

Experience with ERP, Oracle and supply chain planning systems in a project-based environment.

Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and direct the work of a team.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into forecasts, plans, and corrective action.

Strong cross-functional communication skills, with experience working alongside sourcing, manufacturing, and project management teams.
