Magnoli AI is all in one solution for dry cleaning operators that provide sales tracking, employee management, CRM, conveyor and kiosk automation.
We are a next-gen solution that changes the industry already and we are just starting.
To support this growth, we’re looking for an QA Engineer who can live at the intersection of software, data, and real-world operations.
What You’ll Do
You will lead quality practices in Magnoli including designing the manual and automation test suites, and running regression test yourself.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and maintain key test suites and checklists.
- Execute manual regression testing at least once a week before the release.
- Help design auto tests to minimize manual work.
- Log bugs, feature requests, and edge cases in JIRA with clear steps, context, screenshots, and priorities.
- Translate feedback from operators (non-technical users) into structured tickets developers can act on.
- Track progress of issues and help ensure critical items are verified after deployment.
- Assist in documenting processes, creating simple SOPs, and supporting rollout of new features.
- Technical Understanding
- Use a basic understanding of relational databases to verify data linkages (e.g., orders ↔ barcodes ↔ customers ↔ employees).
- Understand how front-end applications communicate with back-end services at a conceptual level.
- Run simple queries, review data, and help validate that what operators see matches what the system records.
Ideal Candidate
This role is a strong fit for QA engineers that want to get outside comfort zone and learn and experiment with automating QA in both software and the practical, hands-on application of technology to business.
We’re looking for:
- At least a year of software QA experience for production application.
- Basic understanding of:
- Web applications (front-end vs. back-end, APIs at a high level)
- Relational databases (tables, keys, joins; any SQL exposure is a plus)
- Comfortable with:
- Documenting clearly in tools like JIRA, Confluence/Docs, Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets
- Communicating with both technical and non-technical people
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity about systems, edge cases, and “what happens if…?”
- Willingness to be hands-on and understand the problem.
- Bonus (nice to have, not required):
- Understanding with any scripting or programming (JavaScript, Python, etc.)
- Exposure to QA, test plans, automation tools, or analytics.
What You’ll Get
- Direct exposure to a live, high-volume operation where software changes affect hundreds of thousands of garments and customers daily.
- Experience working directly with senior business leadership, operators, and developers.
- Real-world QA, systems, and implementation experience.
- A chance to help shape a platform from early stages in a complex, logistics-heavy environment.
- Grow with the company both in technical and in team management aspect.
