The Mission
We are looking for a heavy-hitting Senior Backend Engineer who thrives at the absolute intersection of distributed systems architecture, heavy DevOps ownership, and cutting-edge AI engineering.
This is not a role for someone who simply writes code against a checklist. We are scaling a high-throughput, event-driven ecosystem built on Golang, Node.js, and Kafka, and we need a system architect to take full ownership of our backend services and clear out our cloud infrastructure tech debt. You will be responsible for keeping our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerized environments pristine, secure, and highly optimized.
Furthermore, you will help spearhead our advanced automation layers, using your deep understanding of analytic datasets, strong mathematical principles, and agentic AI workflows. Key Responsibilities

High-Throughput Backend Architecture: Design, optimize, and maintain mission-critical backend microservices utilizing Golang as the primary language, supplemented by Node.js (TypeScript).

Infrastructure & DevOps Ownership: Directly tackle our infrastructure tech debt. Own, clean up, and systematically scale our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, ensuring robust orchestration via Kubernetes and Docker.

Event-Driven & Data Streaming: Evolve our highly event-driven architecture using Kafka to handle massive asynchronous workflows and high-volume data pipelines safely.

Advanced Data & Math Analytics: Leverage a strong mathematical background to design database schemas, query abstractions, and ingestion pipelines across SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL), MongoDB, and Redis.

Agentic AI & Meta-Prompting: Architect and implement complex AI-powered systems, agentic workflows, and meta-prompting frameworks that drive core product automation.

API Systems Design: Design, secure, and document robust GraphQL and RESTful APIs capable of serving a global, highly active user base.
Requirements

Dual-Language Polyglot: 5+ years of deep backend experience with elite proficiency in Golang and strong core capabilities in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js).

Distributed Systems Mastery: Proven experience architecting asynchronous, event-driven microservices using Kafka or equivalent high-scale message brokers.

GCP & Containerization Blueprint: Deep hands-on experience spinning up, maintaining, and cleaning cloud infrastructure within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) alongside Kubernetes and Docker.

Multi-Paradigm Database Skills: Advanced understanding of data modeling, scaling, and indexing across NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) and relational SQL environments.

Mathematical & Analytical Rigor: Strong quantitative, mathematical, or data-science foundational skills to comfortably handle analytical data layer calculations.

AI & Agentic Framework Fluency: Real-world experience working with LLMs, programming autonomous agentic workflows, and managing advanced meta-prompting strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
