Senior QA Engineer (LATAM - Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead our end-to-end test strategy and automation efforts across the SDLC. In this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams to make quality a shared responsibility from day one. You will own test coverage, automate test cases, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and drive continuous quality improvement in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Automation: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test automation strategies using open-source tools.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to validate every code change.
- Test Lifecycle Management: Write, execute, and maintain up-to-date test cases, plans, and technical documentation as products evolve rapidly.
- Types of Testing: Perform hands-on integration, system, regression, and performance testing.
- Defect Triage: Lead root-cause analysis on escaped defects and drive quick, effective resolution.
- Collaboration: Partner with developers to define clear acceptance criteria and elevate quality standards early in the lifecycle.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Language: Advanced English proficiency is required (the entire selection process and daily operations are in English).
- Experience: 4 to 10 years of general experience in QA roles, with strong test automation skills.
- Industry Experience: MUST HAVE proven experience working inside Custom Software Development Agencies / Software Boutiques / Software Factories. (Candidates without agency background will not be considered).
- Technical Stack: Hands-on experience with open-source automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Education: University Degree (Grado Universitario) is required to apply.
- Job Stability: Minimum of 1 year of continuous stability in recent engineering roles.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $3,500.00 - $4,800.00 USD monthly.
- Location: 100% Remote (LATAM).
