As we continue to expand our Aviation & Aerospace Division, we are seeking a highly driven and commercially minded Aviation & Aerospace Sourcing Specialist to support our global sourcing initiatives and strengthen our supplier network.
This role is heavily focused on identifying, evaluating, and securing inventory opportunities within the aviation and aerospace aftermarket. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment, possesses strong negotiation skills, and has the commercial instinct to identify opportunities before they reach the broader market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and expand a global network of suppliers for aircraft components, aerospace parts, rotables, engines, and specialized inventory.
- Source and secure inventory to support customer requirements and business growth objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute purchasing opportunities involving excess, surplus, overstock, and end-of-life aviation and aerospace inventory.
- Proactively build and manage a strong pipeline of sourcing and purchasing opportunities.
- Develop long-term relationships with airlines, MROs, OEMs, aerospace manufacturers, distributors, teardown companies, and strategic suppliers.
- Evaluate inventory opportunities based on market demand, pricing trends, availability, and resale potential.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and purchasing agreements to maximize profitability.
- Respond promptly to RFQs, sourcing requests, and urgent customer requirements.
- Monitor market trends, shortages, excess inventory opportunities, and pricing fluctuations across the aviation and aerospace sectors.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Trading teams to align sourcing strategies with customer demand and revenue objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers, inventory transactions, quotations, and sourcing activities within internal systems.
- Support inventory movement strategies, including inventory optimization, clearance opportunities, and stock redistribution initiatives.
- Research and identify new supplier partnerships and strategic sourcing channels globally.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand market presence and supplier relationships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, trading, vendor management, or supply chain operations within the aviation, aerospace, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft components, aerospace parts, rotables, engines, and aviation supply chains.
- Experience evaluating inventory opportunities and negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pricing comparisons, and inventory evaluations.
- Experience using CRM, ERP, or inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network within the aviation and aerospace aftermarket industry.
- Experience working with airlines, MROs, OEMs, aerospace manufacturers, aviation distributors, or trading companies.
- Experience sourcing excess, surplus, overstock, or hard-to-find inventory.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations, certifications, and industry documentation requirements.
- International sourcing and supplier management experience.
