The Country EHS Leader, Mexico & LATAM Regional Lead owns environmental, health, and safety performance for Dematic’s operations and project sites in Mexico and extends EHS oversight to Dematic project sites across Latin America. This role combines steady-state regulatory and compliance ownership in Mexico with project-based EHS support across the broader region, reporting directly to the Regional Leader, Americas.
This is a full-ownership role: the incumbent is expected to draft, implement, and maintain EHS standards, protocols, and metrics for Mexico and LATAM projects, subject to final sign-off from the Regional Leader, Americas.

This is what you will do in this role:
Regulatory & Compliance Ownership (Mexico)
- Own all STPS filings, NOM standards compliance, permitting, and inspection readiness
- Serve as primary point of contact for Mexican labor and safety authorities
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Mexican EHS regulatory requirements and ensure site-level compliance
Regional Project EHS Oversight (LATAM)
- Provide EHS oversight and support across Dematic project sites throughout Latin America
- Coordinate with local EHS partners/consultants in non-Spanish-speaking markets (e.g., Brazil) where direct regulatory command requires local expertise
- Support project teams during active build-out phases with site-specific EHS planning
Incident Management
- Lead incident investigation and root cause analysis for Mexico and LATAM project sites
- Own emergency response planning per site
- Escalate significant incidents to the Regional Leader, Americas per agreed protocol
Metrics & Reporting
- Own EHS metrics tracking and reporting (EMR, TRIR, DART, OTIF-related safety metrics) across Mexico and LATAM projects
- Deliver regular performance reporting to the Regional Leader, Americas
- Translate EHS data into cost/risk justification for executive audiences as needed
Standards & Training
- Draft EHS methodology, audit cadence, and incident-reporting protocols for sign-off by the Regional Leader, Americas Design and deliver training programs: onboarding, contractor safety orientation, toolbox talks
- Schedule and execute internal EHS audits; prepare sites for client/customer safety audits (relevant for large-scale DC and automation projects with customer-driven safety diligence)
Contractor & Site Management
- Vet and manage EHS compliance of contractors and subcontractors on project sites
- Serve as the EHS point of contact for client EHS teams during project execution
What we are looking for:
- Fluent Spanish and English (required); Portuguese a plus given regional scope
- Demonstrated experience in EHS leadership within industrial, logistics, or material handling/distribution center environments
- Working knowledge of Mexican labor and safety regulatory frameworks (STPS, NOM standards)
- Experience managing EHS across multi-site or multi-country project portfolios Strong data fluency - able to build and present EHS metrics (EMR, TRIR, DART) for executive stakeholders
- Comfortable operating with full ownership of standards and protocols in a solid-line reporting structure (no dotted-line corporate EHS function
