Job Description
The Specialist, Document Control & Customer Service serves as the primary controller for all engineering development documentation affecting Customer Service. In this role, you will coordinate, create, and maintain product support data within SAP and TC systems . You will govern the release of engineering documentation throughout the product development lifecycle. Additionally, you will act as the key cross-functional liaison within the extended organization to standardize, control, and document common service parts across BSH production facilities.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the creation / modification of Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on technical inputs and requirements from the Product Development team to support new product launches and subsequent design modifications.

Serve as the primary liaison for Service BOMs and spare part development between the Product Development and Customer Service teams.

Generate and maintain master material numbers within the CMD and SAP environments to support ongoing Service operations.

Maintain absolute BOM data integrity (including creation, updates, and archiving) in accordance with design engineering specifications and approved Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Define and maintain Appliance Engineering Tolerances (AETs) and technical approvals for the BSH product line.

Initiate and coordinate technical data exchanges during Engineering Change Review meetings to ensure cross-departmental alignment.

Leverage advanced proficiency in SAP and TC software, systems, and compliance procedures to streamline documentation workflows.

Provide dedicated documentation and engineering support to the Development and Sustaining Engineering departments.

Audit, review, and correct complex BOMs to guarantee data accuracy and prevent downstream operational issues.

Provide cross-functional backup and coverage for team members to maintain uninterrupted business continuity.

Execute other operational and administrative duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Advanced proficiency in SAP ERP systems, specifically within master data and documentation modules (such as CMD and R1P).

Direct, hands-on experience utilizing TC systems and executing technical change procedures.

Established ability to perform Specialist I, Doc Control position with ease

Familiarity with Database Management Systems (DBMS) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) workflows.

High speed and accuracy in master data entry, with a strict focus on detail and data integrity.
