POSITION SUMMARY
The Global QMS System Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting digital Quality Management System (QMS) applications using Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies. This role focuses on building scalable, user-centric solutions that enable global quality processes including problem solving (8D), audits, CAPA, supplier quality, and read across.
The engineer works closely with Quality, Operations, and IT teams to translate business requirements into robust digital tools, ensuring data integrity, process standardization, and real-time visibility across global manufacturing sites. This role plays a critical part in advancing Vertiv’s Quality Excellence framework and enabling closed-loop, data-driven decision making.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain PowerApps applications supporting QMS processes (CAPA, 8D, audits, supplier quality, complaints, read across)
- Build and manage integrations between PowerApps, SharePoint, Power Automate, and external systems (ERP, data lake, reporting tools)
- Develop and optimize SharePoint data structures, lists, and logic to support scalable global QMS deployment
- Create Power Automate workflows to enable process automation, notifications, approvals, and data synchronization
- Translate business requirements into functional applications with strong user experience and performance optimization
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and security across all QMS applications and integrations
- Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve applications based on user feedback and operational needs
- Support global rollout of PowerQMS solutions, including training, documentation, and user adoption
- Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to digitize and standardize processes aligned with APQP, ISO, and internal Quality Excellence frameworks
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance system capabilities
QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or data analytics tools
- 10 YR Experience in manufacturing or quality systems (QMS, CAPA, audits, supplier quality)
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API or external system integrations (ERP such as Oracle, SAP)
Understanding of APQP, 8D, ISO 9001, or similar quality frameworks

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
