Your Role
As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Capgemini, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions across APIs, integrations, and user interfaces. You will work closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and reliable software delivery.
This is a hybrid role based in Aguascalientes, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
This role requires strong technical expertise in automation frameworks, programming skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile environments with global stakeholders.
Responsibilities & Scope
- Design and execute API, integration, and end-to-end UI test automation strategies.
- Perform testing across middle-tier systems, validating APIs that interact with databases and external services.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using modern frameworks and tools.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing gaps, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
- Leverage AI-based tools for bug analysis, test optimization, and issue consolidation.
- Ensure high-quality releases through scalable and efficient test automation practices.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.
- Strong understanding of API testing, integration testing, and UI testing.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Postman, Rest-Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript (preferred), Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools for optimization and defect analysis.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication skills with advanced English proficiency (interaction with US-based stakeholders).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
