Senior Product Security Engineer (LATAM - Remote)
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Security Engineer to lead product security initiatives for a remote-first tech platform. In this role, you will partner closely with developer teams to embed security throughout the entire SDLC, conduct threat modeling, perform hands-on penetration testing, and drive secure coding practices across modern web application architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- SDLC Integration: Partner with developers to embed security early in the development lifecycle without slowing down agility.
- Penetration Testing: Perform hands-on penetration testing on web applications and APIs.
- Threat Modeling: Lead security design reviews and threat modeling for new features and components.
- Code & Standards: Conduct secure code reviews and define enterprise secure-coding standards.
- Security Tooling: Operate, configure, and tune SAST, DAST, and supply-chain scanning tools.
- Compliance Support: Help balance compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001) with agile product delivery.
Requirements (Must-Haves)
- Language: Advanced English proficiency is an absolute must (the entire process and daily operations are in English).
- Experience: 3 to 10 years of general experience in product or application security roles.
- Industry Experience: MUST HAVE proven experience working within B2B Enterprise SaaS (ERP/CRM/HRIS) OR Cybersecurity Software (Endpoint/Network) companies. (Applications without this industry background will not be considered).
- Technical Skills: Strong hands-on penetration testing (Web apps/APIs), deep understanding of modern web app architectures, and experience with security design reviews/threat modeling.
- Education: University Degree (Grado Universitario) is required.
- Job Stability: Minimum of 1 year of stability in recent positions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $3,500.00 - $4,900.00 USD monthly.
