Director, Client Services – Mexico (Telcel & Wholesale Accounts)

Position Overview
The Director, Client Services is responsible for driving profitable growth and sales performance across key Mexican accounts, including Telcel (Regions 9 & Deur) and strategic wholesale partners. This leader defines and executes account strategies, builds strong executive relationships, and delivers results across carrier and indirect distribution channels.
This role requires balancing strategic vision with disciplined execution, navigating regional complexity within Telcel, and leading high-performing teams to achieve subscriber growth, revenue targets, and margin expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Account Growth Strategy & Execution

Establish and lead account-specific growth strategies for Telcel (R9 & Deur regions) and wholesale/distribution partners.

Develop and execute go-to-market plans tailored to regional dynamics, dealer networks, and indirect channels.

Identify growth opportunities aligned with Telcel’s regional priorities and wholesale partner capabilities.

Drive the sell-in, execution, and launch of new and existing protection and service products.

Leverage deep understanding of Asurion’s portfolio to align solutions with Mexican market needs and channel behaviors.
Financial & Operational Management

Own financial performance across accounts, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability optimization.

Identify margin improvement opportunities through operational efficiencies and pricing strategies.

Develop business cases, forecasts, and multi-year strategic growth plans.

Support and influence contract negotiations and renewals with Telcel regional leadership and wholesale partners.
Client & Partner Leadership

Build and maintain strong relationships with Telcel regional leadership (R9 & Deur) and key wholesale executives.

Align on strategic priorities, product focus, and execution plans across regions.

Act as a trusted advisor on mobility protection, device lifecycle, and value-added services.

Lead Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews (QBRs/ABRs) with partners.

Represent Asurion in executive-level engagements, driving alignment and decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with internal teams including Client Solutions, Product, Finance, Channel Analytics, Marketing, and Operations.

Influence product and service roadmaps based on Mexican market insights and Telcel regional needs.

Share best practices across regions and channels to drive scalable execution.
Driving Meaningful Growth

Partner with senior leadership to define growth strategy for Mexico Mobility and Wholesale channels.

Ensure strong execution across Telcel stores, authorized dealers, and wholesale distribution networks.

Monitor KPIs and continuously optimize performance to exceed subscriber and revenue targets.
Team Leadership

Lead and develop a team of account managers and regional sales leaders.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.

Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.

Represent senior leadership with confidence in executive forums and decision-making.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required.
-
10+ years of experience in telecommunications, retail, or distribution/wholesale environments.

Experience working with Telcel (preferred) or major Mexican telecom/distribution partners.

Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and operational results.

Strong financial, analytical, and business case development skills.

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Bilingual: Spanish/English, strong Executive English Skills
Travel Requirements

Travel required: Yes (~50%)

Frequent travel across Mexico (R9, Deur regions, and key wholesale markets)

Regular field visits to retail points of sale, dealer networks, and partner headquarters
