POSITION OBJECTIVE
Ensure the correct development, validation, and launch of new machined products (engine and transmission components) through the implementation of robust quality systems, compliance with customer requirements and internal standards, as well as the comprehensive management of NPD projects and engineering change control
ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES:
Customer requirements.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain).
Generate project status and progress reports at the local and global levels.
Product/Process Development and Validation
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Perform drafting, identifying:
Critical characteristics (CTQ / CC / SC)
Special tolerances
Define and develop:
Control Plans
FMEA (desirable)
Inspection instructions
Develop and implement the Quality Assurance System for new products.
Industrialization and Launch
Ensure the correct industrialization of machining processes for:
Cylinders
Engine heads
Engine blocks
Gear housings (transmission)
Steel crankshafts
Coordinate pilot runs, validations, and process release.
Execute and validate process capability studies (Cp, Cpk) for production approval.
Ensure release in accordance with customer requirements and regulations.
Quality and Documentation Management
Develop and maintain documentation in:
SAP (control plans, quality records, master data)
ISO System (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001)
Ensure document traceability and regulatory compliance.
Prepare for and support internal, external, and customer audits.
Engineering Change Management
Manage the Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR) process for:
New products
Products in serial production
Evaluate the impact of changes on:
Process
Quality
Capacity
Ensure controlled implementation and up-to-date documentation.
Continuous Improvement and Special Projects
Lead improvement projects in machining processes and product quality.
Identify opportunities to reduce variation, scrap, and rework.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (8D, Root Cause Analysis).
Follow up on strategic global improvement initiatives.
Operativas Adicionales
Support for production lines during new product launches.
Training of operational staff on quality requirements.
Coordination with clients for validation and releases.

QUALIFICATIONS:
3–5+ years of experience in quality assurance within the automotive or metalworking industry
Experience in:
NPD / APQP / PPAP
Machining processes (aluminum and steel)
New product launches
Intermediate to advanced English (essential for global interaction)
