What will you do as a Plant Finance Senior Analyst at Sealed Air?
As a Plant Finance Senior Analyst , you will play a key role in supporting the financial performance and control environment for manufacturing operations. This position will be based in Monterrey, Mexico , while primarily supporting our Madera, California manufacturing site , along with additional smaller site or product line responsibilities.
You will act as a financial partner to plant operations, helping plant leaders understand results, identify cost-saving opportunities, analyze manufacturing performance, and ensure accurate accounting and reporting. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, manufacturing finance exposure, and the ability to grow into broader plant controller responsibilities.

You support monthly financial closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
You review plant financial results and help explain performance versus budget, forecast, prior year, and standards.
You analyze manufacturing costs, variances, inventory activity, and other key operational drivers.
You partner with plant managers and operations teams to provide financial visibility and support business decisions.
You help identify cost-saving opportunities and track financial impact of operational initiatives.
You support forecasting and budgeting processes for the assigned site or sites.
You help maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.
You support inventory valuation, fixed asset activity, and manufacturing-related accounting processes.
You work with multiple sites and priorities, balancing larger plant responsibilities with smaller site or product line support.
You collaborate with Supply Chain Finance, Operations, and Division Finance teams.
- You use financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
What skills will help you succeed?
Relevant accounting or finance experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of general accounting activities, including journal entries, P&L review, reconciliations, assets, and month-end close.
Experience with manufacturing finance, cost accounting, standard costing, inventory, or variance analysis is strongly preferred.
Ability to work with plant operations and communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with Microsoft Office tools.
ERP experience required or preferred; SAP experience is a strong plus, but not required.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple sites, deadlines, and workstreams.
Ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Professional English communication skills, including the ability to participate in calls with U.S.-based plant and finance teams.
Comfortable working from Monterrey while supporting U.S. operations remotely.
Collaborative, proactive, and willing to reach out to plant teams to build strong working relationships.
