<div data-field="responsibilities" class="jd-responsibilities"><p>The Plant Quality Engineer (PQE) - Responsible for all aspects of product conformity for their systems / Components at the XYZ Plant. The PQE reports directly to the PQE Lead and will build effective relationships with both salaried and hourly, assembly plant/corporate personnel, in order to complete projects within their area of responsibility.</p>
<p>Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: </p>
<ul>
<li>Validating product changes, providing technical expertise, and improving outgoing quality that will meet or exceed our customers’ expectations. </li>
<li>With unquestioned integrity and strength of conviction, the PQE responds to manufacturing quality issues and manages all product changes. </li>
<li>Through the usage of advanced problem-solving methods and SPW kaizen methodology, the PQE supports all continuous quality improvement initiatives within the plant.</li>
<li>PQE must work collaboratively with cross-functional manufacturing teams and facilitates consensus and drive action from the main stakeholders. </li>
<li>Support external quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management for achieving targets, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation </li>
<li>Review warranty/Customer Quality Insight (CQI) claims daily, maintain issue stratification and maintain the portion of Warranty Wall responsible for their area. </li>
<li>Lead improvement activities in vehicle quality by addressing nonconformity to product quality targets (SCA, VLO, BSR, and TDF performance driven to assigned targets) </li>
<li>Support Corporate Quality objectives/deliverables and communicate requirements to all groups involved to ensure goals are achieved. </li>
<li>Collaborate and lead internal and external resources to achieve project/program timing. </li>
<li>Lead teams to identify issues/risks associated with product designs, processes and applications by utilizing FMEA’s and other risk assessment tools.</li>
</ul></div><div data-field="qualifications" class="jd-qualifications"><p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree or higher in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited university (other Engineering degrees, in combination with relevant experience may be considered). </li>
<li>Experience 3 years minimal</li>
<li>Well versed in both Microsoft and Google applications. </li>
<li>Ability to perform data analysis to identify top issues, summarize trends, distinctions, and effectiveness of corrective actions and continuous improvement activities. </li>
<li>Effective presentation/public speaking skills (comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization). </li>
<li>Experience with problem solving tools. </li>
<li>Able to demonstrate both coaching and teaching. </li>
<li>Self-motivated and directed. </li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a high intensity environment while working on multiple projects. </li>
<li>A passion for spending time on the shop floor and fully understanding the build process from a 4M1D standpoint (man, method, machine, material, and design).</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Advanced Degree </li>
<li>3 years of experience</li>
<li>Fluent English</li>
<li>Reactive Green Belt / Black Belt Certification. </li>
<li>Previous experience in resolving complex issues; including root cause, repairs, etc. </li>
<li>Previous experience in Product Engineering and/ or Vehicle Integration / Development at supplier or Tier 1 Automotive Manufacturer. </li>
<li>Previous Manufacturing and/or Quality experience within a vehicle/Component assembly plant</li>
