About Us
Skyline Media Group is a digital marketing and content production company based in London, Ontario. We specialize in helping construction and trades businesses build a stronger online presence through high-quality video content, social media, websites, and advertising.
We work with contractors, roofers, concrete companies, landscapers, renovation companies, and other trades. Most of our content is filmed on job sites and edited into clean, modern, engaging videos for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, websites, and ads.
We are looking for a skilled video editor who can take raw construction footage and turn it into professional, eye-catching content.
Position Overview
We are looking for someone with advanced video editing skills and basic graphic design skills.
The ideal candidate understands how to create modern social media videos with strong pacing, clean cuts, speed ramps, color grading, transitions, captions, music, and basic graphics.
This position is mainly focused on editing raw footage and turning it into polished videos that make construction companies look professional, trustworthy, and high-end.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for social media, including Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook videos
- Turn raw construction footage into clean, engaging, modern video content
- Edit project highlights, before-and-after videos, job site clips, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes content
- Apply speed ramps, modern transitions, music, sound effects, captions, and text overlays
- Color grade LOG footage and create a clean, professional look
- Create basic graphics for social media content when needed
- Follow editing styles and brand guidelines for different clients
- Organize footage and project files properly
- Make revisions based on feedback
- Deliver projects on time
Skills Required
- Advanced video editing skills
- Strong understanding of social media video pacing
- Experience with speed ramps and modern transitions
- Ability to color grade LOG footage
- Basic graphic design skills
- Good sense of music, timing, and storytelling
- Ability to make raw footage look professional and engaging
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines
Software Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- DaVinci Resolve
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- CapCut
- Photoshop
- Canva
- Illustrator
Nice to Have
- Experience creating social media ads
- Experience editing talking-head videos and project walk-throughs
- Understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook video formats
- Ability to create simple motion graphics
What We Care About Most
We are looking more at your portfolio and editing style than your resume.
We want to see what you can actually create. If you have strong examples of videos you edited, social media content, transitions, color grading, captions, graphics, or construction/trades-style videos, we want to see them.
A formal resume is not the main focus. Your work matters more.
