We are looking for a seasoned Lead Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Insurance Property & Casualty (commercial / specialty beyond just commercial property) sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication abilities, be skilled in AI prompting, and be available to work during US Eastern Time hours (overlap with Europe to be determined). You will take on an essential part within the Submission Management Platform, working with business and technical stakeholders to advance prompt engineering, business rule development, and documentation efforts.
Responsibilities

Work with the client on incoming items, offering feedback on prioritization and maintaining alignment with project leadership

Build a solid understanding of the customer's business and product environment, including insurance workflows and requirements

Examine and assess submission documents, spotting patterns that inform prompt development

Implement best practices in AI prompt engineering to pull data elements from submission emails
-
Convert business requirements into clear, actionable prompts and business rules

Clarify requirements with the customer's business partners within the permitted scope

Develop, update, and maintain business rules and detailed user stories connected to prompt engineering and business logic
-
Create placeholders for technical user stories to enable thorough planning and prioritization
-
Own documentation, user stories, and knowledge transfer efforts tied to business logic and prompt engineering

Establish and oversee boards and teams in Azure to monitor work and assignments
-
Provide QA and development teams with business context and domain expertise, closing knowledge gaps around insurance topics

Support business partners throughout UAT, analyzing, clarifying, and responding to business-related inquiries

Arrange and lead stand-ups, working with the Delivery Manager to deliver status updates to the client

Contribute to production deployment runbooks and Wiki documentation covering business processes

Deliver first response triage for production issues, serving as the main point of contact for business teams

Draft CCB (Change Control Board) requests containing detailed business information

Perform post-production validation and share release notes with business users

Deliver continued production support
Requirements
-
At least 5 years of relevant experience

A minimum of one year of experience leading and managing teams

Extensive knowledge of the Insurance value chain, especially from submission through policy issuance, including quoting and binding

Familiarity with specialty products, particularly in Excess lines such as Excess Casualty, Professional Liability, Medical Liability, Products, and Contractors

Capability to lead and facilitate requirement gathering sessions

Strong ability to build relationships with key business stakeholders

Experience with user story elaboration, backlog refinement, prioritization, and functioning as a product owner

Ability to collaborate with the development team to define and deliver complete end-to-end features
-
Experience establishing acceptance criteria for stories and partnering with QA teams to test features

Ability to deliver first-level operational support to business users and underwriters across different segments
-
Experience monitoring Teams channels for production issues and conducting initial triage
-
Strong command of AI prompt engineering and associated best practices

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities

Skilled in developing user stories, business rules, and supporting documentation

Familiarity with Azure DevOps or comparable tools for tracking work and managing teams

Ability to support QA, UAT, and production processes through business expertise

English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong written and spoken communication skills
