In this position you will be responsible for supporting Qualcomm customers using Qualcomm chipsets in IOT segment. The role requires close communication with both customers and internal development or engineering teams to understand customer requirements and system design. The candidate will provide end- to -end debugging and log analysis of issues on the chipsets, including BSP and user applications on customer products. The role combines customer-facing technical leadership with hands-on solution architecture, prototyping, and system validation, serving as a trusted technical contributor and advisor for customers and regional solution engagements.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering , Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
Exposure to one or more verticals such as industrial automation, smart cities, public sector, energy, logistics, or retail.
System ‑ level understanding of IoT, embedded systems, M2M , industrial IOT and Edge AI deployments.
Understanding multiple key technology areas (Camera/Image sensors, Audio, Video, Display, AI/ML, Computer Vision, distributed systems, SoC architecture, RTOS)
Theoretical knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, model compression, quantization, and optimization is a plus.
Familiarity with AI frameworks and runtimes such as PyTorch , TensorFlow, ONNX, and deployment ‑ oriented inference workflows is a plus .
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Support pre-sales and post-sales customer engagements as a solution engineer, translating business requirements into technical solutions, optimizing AI workloads, providing deployment guidance, and driving issue investigation and resolution.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners (OEMs, ISVs, system integrators, and cloud providers) to align requirements and validate end-to-end solutions.
Act as a technical lead for customer engagements, supporting projects from discovery through PoC, pilot, early production and commercial solution launches.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, guiding solution selection, implementation, and optimization of solutions based on product capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
