Responsibilities
- Lead wire harness design, development, and implementation activities for new and existing products.
- Review and approve wire harness drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPDI) projects, product transfers, and engineering changes.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing teams to improve assembly processes, product quality, and production efficiency.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions related to harness failures, quality concerns, or manufacturing issues.
- Support supplier qualification, component selection, and alternative component validation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety, customer, and industry standards.
- Drive cost reduction, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in wire harness design, cable assemblies, electrical systems, or electromechanical products.
- Strong understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, electrical drawings, and BOM management.
- Experience supporting manufacturing and production environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional teams.
