What impact you’ll make:
As a member of the Materials & Processes Engineering team at QTC, you will be an active contributor to support product quality and leverage technology into the GE Vernova Gas Power portfolio, accelerating problem-solving and sustaining execution across multiple business priorities.
What you’ll do
- Execute Materials Analysis Requests for GE Vernova technology products.
- Document component conditions through professional photo-documentation.
- Perform metallographic sample preparation for components related to Package, Accessories, and Gas Turbines.
- Support cost-out and product robustness initiatives through material characterization and data analysis.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory quality and processing tools to ensure equipment readiness.
- Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols within the laboratory environment.
- Assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and continuous improvement projects to deepen process understanding.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled as a bachelor student in the final semesters (with at least 1 year to graduate) of an Engineering degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary team environments.
- Fundamental knowledge of testing and characterization principles, including optical/inverted/electron microscopy, hardness testing, and infrared spectroscopy.
- Proven familiarity with metallographic sample preparation techniques.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Due to the nature of failure analysis and laboratory characterization, this is a 100% on-site role at the QTC facility.
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country where the position is located.
