Job Description
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all engineering and maintenance activities within the plant. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, operational efficiency, cost control, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
The position drives continuous improvement initiatives, supports production reliability, and ensures the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure equipment availability.

Ensure compliance with the Preventive Maintenance Plan and drive improvements when needed.

Monitor and control key maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, MTTF, and equipment uptime.

Optimize maintenance processes, resource allocation, and spare parts management.

Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for major equipment failures.

Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

Support new product launches, line transfers, and industrialization processes.

Ensure proper design, installation, and validation of equipment and production lines.

Drive process standardization and implementation of best practices.

Promote and implement continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM).

Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement efficiency improvement projects.

Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team (engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel).

Define team objectives, track performance, and ensure skill development.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with all applicable standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 14001, Safety regulations).

Guarantee adherence to safety procedures and promote a zero-accident culture.

Participate in audits and ensure readiness with proper documentation and evidence.

Develop and manage the department budget.

Monitor maintenance and engineering costs, ensuring alignment with targets.

Optimize external services and capital expenditure.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).

Minimum 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in leadership roles.

Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, automation, and industrial equipment.

Experience in automotive or similar high-volume manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP PM module preferred).
