The IT Manager for the CRM Center of Excellence (CoE) Technical team plays an important leadership role in advancing PPG's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy and technical delivery aligned to the Selling Machine 2.0 initiative, a key enabler of Enterprise Growth. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a global footprint and drive innovative solutions that support organic growth goals through sales and process excellence. You will partner with cross functional team members including Project, Continuous Improvement, and Platform teams globally to deliver business outcomes through technical solutions and excellence based on knowledge of various business processes used by system applications. You will report to the Senior Manager II - Information Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the achievement of PPG business unit objectives by leading the technical implementation for CRM items and related systems, including data and integrations topics
Implement system governance by managing development operations and environment strategies, ensuring system performance optimization, quality, scalability, access and security compliance, and adherence to development standards and global templates aligned with system architects and Product teams
Demonstrate strong ownership of business needs and issues, providing strategic consultancy, developing effective plans and solutions, partnering with dependent teams, driving resolution, and providing guidance to CRM developers and other technical team members throughout
Directly supervise and mentor project and technical CRM team members across the globe, conduct performance evaluations, lead career development, and support learning plans for CRM technical direct reports
Delegate responsibility to others, set team priorities, clarify objectives, resolve conflict, be a change champion, manage team budget and project portfolio, and foster a collaborative team environment to fulfill the CRM and Digital IT operating goals
Prioritize resources and tasks, develop contingency plans, manage scope, monitor progress, control project plans and risks, oversee financials and provide regular management updates
Identify new feature and solution releases, conduct feasibility studies on software packages and alternative assessments, translate requirements into technical designs, prepare high-level proposals or detailed specifications, and implement complete solutions
Maintain awareness of current IT projects and portfolios across PPG and planned projects within Digital IT to align to IT strategy and unlock commonalities between projects
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, a related subject area, or equivalent work experience and technical training.
5+ years of IT experience in business application design and systems development, including implementation of IT systems
People leadership experience
Strong project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and completing projects from vision through implementation
A deep understanding of IT concepts, analysis and troubleshooting, and practical application of current and emerging technologies
Spanish language skillset is a plus.
Must be comfortable working remotely using virtual means of collaborating with colleagues and managers internationally
Working knowledge of an industry standard CRM platform such as Salesforce, SAP Customer Experience, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or comparable technology is a plus
Willing to travel up to 10%
