POSITION SUMMARY
- Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineers are responsible for implementing company policies related to environmental protection, health, and workplace safety. He plays a critical role in identifying and developing effective health and safety solutions, particularly during the planning and launch of new products, services, or processes.
- Senior EHS Eng. must ensure full compliance with company procedures as well as all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. He oversees and guide research initiatives conducted by EHS teams, focusing on innovative methods to protect the environment and enhance employee safety.
- In addition, Senior EHS Engineers actively participate in safety meetings, where he provides recommendations for improvement, proposes corrective actions, and conducts health and safety assessments as needed. He is also responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and environmental programs within the organization.
A key part of his role involves evaluating current and planned equipment, processes, products, and facilities to proactively prevent accidents, minimize property damage, and reduce environmental impact. He systematically identifies and assesses workplace hazards related to health, safety, and the environment, and communicates their findings, including risks and improvement opportunities, to the EHS Manager or relevant leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementing and managing EHS programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies. This involves developing and updating safety protocols, conducting audits, and providing guidance to employees.
- Conducting risk assessments and hazard evaluations to identify potential environmental and occupational health risks. This includes evaluating workplace conditions, analyzing data, and recommending measures to mitigate risks.
- Providing training and education to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices. This involves creating training materials, delivering workshops, and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigating incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with the clauses of the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, creating understandable programs for their maintenance.
- Identify and develop effective health and safety solutions, particularly during the planning and launch of new products, services, or processes.
Revise, document, an supervise administrative reports for the safety and environmental areas.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or bachelor’s degree in engineering field or similar field
- Certification as lead auditor or internal auditor in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards
- Fluent English
Excellent computer skills.
