We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supplier Development Engineer to play a pivotal role in our outsourcing strategy. This position is key to freeing up internal space and optimizing our operational footprint by developing, qualifying, and stabilizing external suppliers. The successful candidate will ensure our outsourced subassemblies meet stringent manufacturing, quality, and delivery requirements. Acting as the primary interface for supplier capability development, you will work closely with internal teams to prepare suppliers to absorb production scope, particularly for non-core, full products with lower added value, driven by increased demand and orders.

What will you need to succeed?
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in supplier development, manufacturing engineering, quality, or supplier quality.
- Specific experience (minimum 2 years) with electrical components and harnesses manufacturing processes is highly valued.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (particularly for electrical components and assemblies).
- Proven experience in supplier audits and capability assessments, including MMA (Manufacturing Maturity Assessment) processes.
- Solid knowledge of quality systems and validation processes.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Experience working with external suppliers or customers.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain).
- Familiarity with NPI (New Product Introduction) processes, product design, and project management principles. Project management certification is a plus.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze supplier gaps and define robust improvement plans.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Capability to support industrialization and validation activities.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time for supplier visits and audits.
Languages:
- Advanced English (for daily interactions and meetings with US-based teams).
