- Experience using Datadog for log review, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Kafka and asynchronous workflow validation.
- Exposure to MongoDB or other NoSQL databases for backend data validation.
- General understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release validation activities.
- Experience working with SaaS platforms or customer-facing/employer-facing applications.
- Hiring Events is a live production product that receives a high volume of support requests from clients, often related to malfunctioning or misconfigured features. The team plays a critical role in diagnosing, triaging, and resolving these issues—particularly with in-progress hiring events that are not functioning as expected. This involves debugging issues across systems, collaborating closely with the Client Support and GTM teams, and maintaining high client satisfaction, measured in part by user ratings.
- Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues impacting live hiring events.
- Validate APIs and integrations using Postman.
- Reproduce, document, and track defects using Jira.
- Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for hiring event workflows.
- Collaborate with Client Support, GTM, and engineering teams to resolve client issues.
- Monitor production systems and assist with incident triage and validation.
- Validate backend data using SQL and troubleshoot data inconsistencies.
- Support testing of architecture changes, integrations, and new platform releases.
- Investigate frontend and network issues using browser developer tools.
- Ensure timely issue resolution while meeting SLA expectations.
- Timezone Coverage: PST, MST, CST, EST (Across all U.S. timezones)
Profile
- 3-5 yrs Strong experience with manual testing, including validating end-to-end workflows and user functionality.
- Experience with regression testing to ensure platform stability after releases and enhancements.
- Hands-on experience using Postman for API testing and response validation.
- Experience testing REST APIs and validating backend integrations/services.
- Strong SQL skills for backend data validation, troubleshooting, and test verification.
- Experience documenting defects, test results, and workflow issues within Jira.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Support.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint cycles, testing ceremonies, and release validation.
- Strong understanding of product functionality, user workflows, and business requirements.
- Ability to identify, design, and execute relevant test cases based on product requirements and business problems.
- Ability to interpret product needs and translate them into effective testing scenarios and validation plans.
- Experience with WCAG standards and accessibility tooling.
