The General Services Waiter is an entry-level professional responsible for performing support tasks to ensure a positive dining experience, in coordination with the Corporate Services function. The overall objective is to work as part of a team to engage customers, complete tasks efficiently and accurately, and mitigate potential issues and customer complaints.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve customers, provide detailed information on menus, perform front-of-the-house duties and collect the bill
- Provide detailed menu information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
- Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
- Inform customers about the day’s specials and offer menu recommendations upon request; pp-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, using ordering software, order slips or by memorization
- Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff and check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness/ presentation prior to serving; ensure compliance with health department regulations and report any problems
- Prepare tables in advance by setting up linens, silverware and glasses; maintaining a tidy dining area
- Deliver check and collect payment
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of relevant experience required
- Food safety training preferred
- Proven work experience as a Waiter/ Waitress
- Money-handling experience
- Basic math skills
- Effective communication skills
- Client service focus
- Ability to work various shifts
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Actividades:
Proporcionar el servicio de Alimentos y Bebidas (desayunos, comidas, cenas, cocteles, servicios de café, etc.)
Ofrece la atención directa a nuestros usuarios internos y externos
Elaborar comandas diariamente de los desayunos, comidas, y de todo servicio que se proporciona.
Abastece el almacén en roles de cafetería.
Cambia la mantelería de cada servicio de alimentos de los comedores.
Monta el servicio de comedor (loza, cubertería, mantelería, etc.)
Es responsable de pulir cubertería asimismo la limpieza de la cristalería y otros equipos de servicio.
Guarda el equipo y reportar las bajas, roturas a los capitanes.
Hacer cambio de uniforme correspondiente y mantener una higiene óptima en todo momento.
Conocimiento de distintos montajes: Imperial, Herradura, Mesas, etc.
Requisitos:
Bachillerato Concluido
2 años de experiencia reciente en Comedores Ejecutivos, Hospitales, Hoteles, Empresas o Bancos.
Conocimiento en servicio de platillos de alta gastronomía, vinos y bebidas
Conocimientos Generales
Indispensable el trabajo en equipo, su capacidad de aprendizaje y la vocación de servicio
Capacidad y disponibilidad para rolar turnos. Conocimiento de distintivo Se valorará su actitud hacia el servicio y la honestidad.
Es indispensable la confiabilidad y discreción.
Conocimientos Técnicos
Manejo de office (Word, Excel, Power Point y Outlook), manejo equipo de servicio: cafeteras, máquina lavaloza.
Conocimiento de primeros auxilios y distintivo H. Deseble
Gusto y conocimiento por el servicio al cliente
Montaje de mesas para eventos o desayunos.
