You Are:
We are seeking a hands-on Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, test, and support reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and modern data platforms.
The opportunity:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Power BI and Tableau.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into clear technical and reporting specifications.
- Build and maintain data models, semantic layers, data extracts, visualizations, and scheduled reporting solutions.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries used for reporting and analytics.
- Apply dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts to support scalable reporting solutions.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of reporting outputs.
- Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions based on user feedback, changing requirements, and performance needs.
- Independently deliver moderately complex BI assignments and collaborate with senior team members on larger initiatives.

What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Professional Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, reporting, data visualization, or a related area.
- Hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Experience writing SQL queries for reporting, data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of dimensional modeling, including fact tables, dimension tables, and star schemas.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting or analytics solutions.
- Experience working with relational databases or cloud data platforms.
- Ability to independently deliver moderately complex BI solutions from requirements through testing and deployment.
- Experience troubleshooting data, dashboard, refresh, and report performance issues.
Required Technical Skills
Business Intelligence
- Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Tableau Desktop and/or Tableau Server.
- Dashboard and report development.
- Data visualization and user experience best practices.
- Data modeling and semantic layer concepts.
- Report publishing, refresh scheduling, and basic access management.
Data and Reporting
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Working knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with at least one of the following platforms:
- Snowflake
- Vertica
- Oracle
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Another comparable relational or cloud data platform
- Data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Report and query performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with both Power BI and Tableau.
- Exposure to Power BI or Tableau administration.
- Experience with Power BI APIs, Tableau APIs, or reporting automation.
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation.
- Experience supporting self-service analytics initiatives.
- Familiarity with Kimball dimensional modeling methodology.
- Experience working in insurance, financial services, or another data-intensive industry.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Relevant Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft, or data analytics certifications.
